CASS Construction is a team of superheroes. They don’t wear capes and tights, but really, they should. They are THAT good!! It’s a scary thing to hire a contractor. As homeowners, you are at their mercy and bad things can happen. Unfortunately, we hired a different contractor BEFORE finding CASS Construction and our experience with him was a nightmare! This left us skeptical of all contractors, then Jeff (from CASS) showed up at our home. [Cass] He put us at ease immediately and it quickly became clear this would not be anything like the bad experience we had before. From that point on, we had a group of highly skilled professionals working on our home. These guys are true artisans. No detail is overlooked. They are driven by perfection and the result is flawless work. They are up to date on current materials and techniques and offered great advice to help us get exactly what we were looking for. We are so incredibly pleased with everything they touched and that alone was more than we expected, but there WAS more! CASS Construction is exceptionally well managed. We were impressed with how organized and disciplined they are. Project scheduling was clearly defined and strictly adhered to. They are great communicators, so we never felt uncertain about what had been decided and what steps were to come. They provided detailed, itemized estimates and invoiced us based on actual dollars put into the project. If actual costs spent were less than the value of the estimate, this was reflected in the invoice and we were billed accordingly. That is integrity!  Our renovation is large, but due to budget, we’ve broken it down into pieces to be done in stages. Jon and Jeff had no problem amending our estimates to accommodate our ever-changing plans to prioritize what would be done with each stage. Their flexibility allowed us to do as much or as little as we could afford with no pressure of being over budget. Working with CASS Construction has been (and will continue to be) a wonderful experience. We love them, and it makes us happy to see their finished work in our home as it comes with great memories. These are genuinely kind, fun people who truly care about ensuring you will have exactly the finished product you want while making the process enjoyable along the way. It was a pleasure to have them making noise and kicking up dust in our home! Hard to believe, but it’s true! From the minute we met Jon and his team we knew we met our Match!! Jon and his team went above and beyond for my dream home reno!! We added 1800 Sqft to a very old Farm house. Their expertise and knowledge helped keep things moving forward even though there were many challenges out of there and our control!! They have a keen eye for perfection. Jon and his team at CASS Construction did a number of renovations in our house over the past year and we are more than pleased with the quality of their work. Recently we had Cass construction do a complete renovation of our master bathroom. Jon gave us a reasonable, detailed estimate and timeline for completion. He was able to solve several issues, including leveling the floor. He coordinated the sub trades for electrical, plumbing, and cabinets so that we were not without the facilities longer than necessary. His team worked well together, paying attention to the smallest detail and cleaning up the area daily before leaving. We are definitely pleased with our new bathroom and feel fortunate to have had this exceptional team do the renovation for us.

We hired Cass Construction to help us replace a huge living room window that we knew had incurred considerable water damage. We chose them over others due to their level of communication and their assurances of being able to fulfill our project. Their workmanship was excellent and was completed on time and on budget. We found every one of the workmen to be polite, informative and considerate of our property. What separates Cass Construction from other companies is the last 10%. Every detail is attended to, with no loose ends at the finish!  In thirty years of dealing with contractors, this is rare. We highly recommend their services.

Please consider this as a letter of unqualified reference for Cass Construction. Cass has completed 2 technical commercial wood framing projects for us, one in Russell, Manitoba the other in Bonnyville, Alberta. The one in Russell was the more demanding of the two with a Glulam structure rising through the center of the building. This was an extremely complicated project and the work was done during a Manitoba winter with temperatures as low as -37C and the heaviest snowfall in years. What really impressed me was the willingness to work in such adverse conditions without complaint. They really showed their grit and determination to complete the project on time, while still doing excellent work, showing great attention to detail, no matter what conditions they faced. I can only imagine how they would fly through a project with better weather conditions. I can heartily endorse them for any type of commercial quality work and sincerely hope to work with them in the future.

I would like to take this opportunity to let you know a little about my experience with Cass Construction. Upon calling them the first time to setup a quote they were very enthused to be hired for this job My wife and I got 3 quotes and Cass was the best price and seemed to have the most experience as I have seen many other projects they have done and they all are gorgeous. Cass told us once the weather was ready to start building a deck they would be there to begin the work. They were right on schedule with the weather and they had the entire deck built in a week, which is amazing considering the size and design of our deck. The guys were friendly, out going, and always working bright and early. The job turned out amazing and we couldn’t be happier. We are already looking at hiring them for our next project and my next door neighbors asked me for their business card so they can have them do a job too. These guys are the best around and they got the job done quicker, better, cheaper and above expectations ! They even beat Lowe’s Home Improvement store quote and time frame. Lowe’s was almost $5,000 more expensive and they wanted 2 -3 weeks to do a 10 day job, which Cass CO completed in 6 business days ! I highly recommend Cass Construction for any of your home improvement needs!

Jon and his team completely transformed our en-suite bathroom from an older tub, stand-alone shower and single sink layout to a large tile and glass shower and double sink. Jon was very easy to work with and offered helpful suggestions and advice as we made our plans. The work itself was well-done and we are very happy with the results. Jon didn’t take any short-cuts and made sure the renovation was built to last. There were no “surprises” along the way, and the project came in on-budget (although a little behind schedule). We would definitely recommend Cass Construction for your renovation project.

Jon and the whole Cass Construction team did such a great job on our basement, I highly recommend them for any home renovation. Jon’s experience and advice made the renovation experience so much easier than expected; all the trades people were friendly, reliable and did excellent work. The addition of the storage areas, kitchenette and bathroom, along with the custom lighting throughout, definitely are adding to the enjoyment of our house.

Jon is very professional, prompt and courteous in all his work and job related communications. Not only did Jon and his team provide excellent service for our home improvements, he also provided referrals for other jobs. This has been especially appreciated as we are new to Waterloo.
